CIT Application Form

Ready to apply for the Counsellor-In-Training (CIT) Program at Camp Omagh? Please fill out this form as completely as possible.

The Counsellor-In-Training (CIT) Program runs during Week 2 (July 30 - Aug 5).  You must be at least 15 years old as of December 31st 2023 to apply. Application deadline is April 30th, 2023.
Completed applications will be reviewed, and applicants may be contacted for an interview.

Our desire is to create a safe environment for campers and staff. Please explain in detail any relevant personal history regarding allergies, medical needs, behaviors and learning.

 

Camp Omagh requires that campers, who have potentially life-threatening conditions (such as peanut allergies) be able to manage their exposure to those substances, provide two sets of medication, and be familiar with its use.

Conditions of Service

  1. The Program Manager/Program Director reserves the right to dismiss a CIT who in his/her opinion is a hazard to the safety and rights of others, or who appears to him/her to have rejected the reasonable controls of Camp Omagh.
     

  2. For the protection of our campers, all CITs 18 years of age or older will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) on their first day at Camp. (The VSC must be obtained from your local police service, and there may be a service fee involved. If so, please obtain a receipt. We will reimburse successful CIT candidates for this fee.)
     

  3. The successful CIT candidates will pay a non-refundable $75 room-and-board fee for the week.
