I've been going to camp since I was a pre-teen, and over the years I have made friends there, volunteered as a counsellor, and got involved in mentoring some of the teen girls in more recent years.
One of my favourite memories of camp is singing at the fire at night. Every year when the sun started to set we gathered around the campfire and sang a bunch of fun camp songs, and some worship songs too. This time was my favorite because no matter where each of us came from, or what troubles were on our mind that day, we all could let our worries go and sing like one family. For me, that was a time to give my worries over to the Lord and remember how much He has done for me by giving His life and blessing me with so many wonderful people to call friends and family.
