Greetings from the directors of Omagh Bible School. As we look ahead to the summer activities that will take place at Omagh this year, I would like to share with you the desire of all the directors that we will have an incredible year in affecting lives for the sake of Christ. As we look back over the Olympics in Salt Lake City, we are able to recall great moments of victory and the crushing disappointment of “political interference”. It is the goal of the Board of directors to operate a facility where Christian principles and examples are the only “interference” that will come into effect.
We have been blessed with very capable Weekly Directors. Their commitment will provide the best possible experience for campers attending the various programs throughout the summer of 2002.
We will continue to upgrade our facilities as time and money permits and would encourage your input on these endeavors. May God use Camp Omagh this year to his Honour and Glory.
For the directors,
David Jaggard, President
As a new board director, I’m excited about the quality of Omagh Bible Camp’s board of directors for 2002. At 47, I find myself the “old man on the board”; surrounded by directors who are 5 to 20 years younger. That’s exciting because it bodes well for the future of the camp. We need young people to assume significant roles. Encouraging younger people to participate ensures a solid future for the camp. We are asking our older corporation members to encourage your children and grandchildren to become actively involved with the camp by enrolling as corporation members. And remember…
YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR CAMP OMAGH!

As with all physical facilities Camp Omagh has ongoing items requiring attention. Some are immediate while others are only in the planning stage. Here are a few: Bell Tower replacement, Joy Hall wall finishing, Storage Room ceiling finishing, shutters for new bunkie, boys dorm doors and lock ups, replacement of metal bunk beds with wood, electrical outlets for trailers, furnace mounting, pool filter, deck and rear stairway to Knowledge hall, lawn cutting, storm culvert grill, front of Johnstone Hall landscaped, completion of a front sidewalk to Johnstone Hall, tree planting, ongoing painting of McKerlie House, mini golf 9th hole repair, and window modifications to Faith and Knowledge Dorms. Project funding is critical to the development of the camp. We appreciate all the donations that have been made in the past and look forward to your continued support.
Volunteers working with the camp every spring and summer remain the lifeblood of an organization like Camp Omagh. Without volunteers like you, the camp could not exist. We are truly grateful for the encouragement corporation members give by volunteering your time and your talents. Fortunately we never run out of opportunities. Feel free to join us during June weekends as we prepare the camp for the summer. If you can assist us on any of those weekends contact Dave Jaggard at (905) 527-7399 for more specific details.

Now in its 5th year, this weekend is designed for non-married people in their “twenties” to spend time with God’s Word in a fun and spiritually uplifting environment. We have the usual camp activities: campfires, hikes, games, singing, Bible classes and plenty of time for meeting new friends. Darrin Douglas of the Church of Christ in Niagara Falls has agreed to be this year’s speaker. He will be speaking on the topic of ”The Holy Spirit”.
Your help is needed to make this year the best yet. If you know anyone who is in their twenties and who would enjoy getting to know other people their age, encourage them to register. The dates are July 5-7, 2002. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at (905) 562-8022 or send me an email.
