What is Camp Omagh?

Camp Omagh is a Christian Bible camp that has been operated by members of the Churches of Christ since the 1930’s. We have programs for all ages throughout the summer months. Everything from youth programs to family programs to Prime Timers (seniors). Click here for more information about our programs.

Where is the camp located?

The camp is located in Milton, Ontario on Lower Base Line between Fourth and Fifth Line. For a detailed map click here.

Where can I find brochures for each of the camp programs?

Brochures for all of our programs can be found on the Downloads page of this website.  You will find printed versions at your local Church of Christ.

What activities does Camp Omagh offer?

As a camper you can enjoy the following activities:

Floor Hockey Crafts Campfires
Games Cookouts Playground
Hiking Nature Study Soccer
Shuffleboard Horseshoes Archery
Volleyball Skit Night Swimming
Baseball Football Mini Golf
Capture the Flag Basketball Cable Ride

Daily chapel, two Bible classes, evening campfires, cabin devotionals, and interaction with Christian teachers, counselors and staff members will assist campers in understanding and relating to Christian principles and values.

What should I bring to camp?

You should bring, a Bible, notebook, pen, writing paper, envelopes, stamps, a flashlight, sleeping bag, warm clothes, appropriate footwear, swimwear,  hat, insect repellent, sunscreen, towels, warm bedding, raincoat and boots.  (Remember nights and rainy days can be cold.)  It is advisable to label all articles brought to camp.

What should I not bring to camp?

At Camp Omagh we try to provide a fun environment that is different from what children may experience at home or school.  Therefore we ask that campers do not bring radios, walkmans, electronic games, etc. to camp.

What is the dress code at camp?

Campers must dress modestly at all times, in keeping with Christian principles. Inappropriate clothing includes:

  •  Shorts above mid-thigh

  •  Bikinis

  •  Crop-tops

  •  Skin-tight jeans

The camp manager will exercise his discretion in determining the acceptability of all apparel.

When should we arrive at camp for registration?

Registration begins at 3pm on Sunday. Please arrange to arrive at this time as exceptions will not be made for people who arrive early. Thank you for your cooperation.

When should I arrange to pick up my child at the end of the week?

Campers should be picked up on Saturday before 10:00 a.m. For Teen Week the pick up time is on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Our program structure does not accommodate campers staying at the camp for the weekend between sessions. Please make alternate arrangements as required.

Is there an extra cost for Tuck?

There is no need to leave extra money with your child because Tuck is included in the camper fee.

Do I need to leave my child’s health card at camp?

Yes.  The camp nurse will hold all camper health cards during the week. We need to have the cards on site in case there is a medical emergency. All cards will be returned when your child signs-out at the end of the week.

Are visitors allowed at camp?

Of course.  However, we do ask that you check in at the office when you arrive so that we know you are on campus.  We also ask that our visitors join the campers in whatever activity they are doing while on campus.  We also request that visitors see the Camp Manager to arrange payment for any meals they eat while on campus.

Does Camp Omagh have a scholarship program for campers?

Camp Omagh has a camper scholarship program that is funded by the generous support of Corporation Members and other supporters. If you would like to request financial support, please send an email to scholarships@campomagh.org.

Is the pool area supervised?

Yes, the pool is supervised by two qualified lifeguards during all swim periods.

How can I become an Omagh Bible School Corporation Member?

If you would like to become an Omagh Bible School Corporation Member, please fill out the Corporation Membership Form and mail it to the specified address.
